NSN ABOUT TO BUY MOTOROLA’S NETWORKS BUSINESS
WSJ writes that NSN is about to purchase Motorola’s mobile networks equipment operations soon, for USD1.2 billion, according to people familiar with the matter. Although Motorola has been a key innovator when it comes to mobile technology, it has been unable to compete with its competitors, such as Ericsson.
 
TELEFÒNICA DROPS ITS OFFER FOR VIVO STAKETelefònica has dropped its EUR7.15-billion bid for Vivo, despite Portugal Telecom’s request that it extend the offer period to July 28, reports WSJ.
