APPLE OFFERS FREE IPHONE CASES AS IT GRAPPLES WITH “ANTENNAGATE”
Apple CEO Steve Jobs tried to tone down complaints about the new iPhone’s reception problems in what is becoming known as “Antennagate”. On Friday, Jobs claimed that all smartphones have similar problems, but he also announced that Apple will offer free cases to iPhone customers in order to alleviate the problem. Jobs’ apology to customers came begrudgingly, as the CEO said the problem has been blown out of proportion. “Most of the customers that own iPhone 4s think it’s the coolest thing they’ve ever owned,” Jobs said, in defense of his latest release.
