AFRICA’S LOCAL CHAMPIONS BEGIN TO SPREAD OUT
MTN Group, the number-one mobile operator from Africa, is one among several African companies that are growing rapidly along with the continent’s expanding middle-class. MTN has become a major player in the region, with a strong presence in 17 African countries, writes WSJ.
 
MINDTREE HOPEFUL ON PHONE
Software-services powerhouse Mindtree is expecting a healthy revenue stream from its recently-started smartphone program, writes WSJ. The company plans to introduce its first handset in Q4, as it hopes to take advantage of the booming smartphone market.
