TELECOM GROUPS GRANTED REVIEW OF ONLINE PIRACY RULES
FT writes that a High Court judge has granted permission for a review of the Digital Economy Act legislation. In July, BT and TalkTalk filed a complaint with the court, stating that the act was passed too hastily and with disregard to European law. “We are very pleased that the court has recognized that our concerns about the copyright infringement provisions in the Digital Economy Act should be considered in a full hearing,” the two telecom companies said in a statement.
