BATM SALES FALL AMID LOST NOKIA BUSINESS
Israel-based telecom equipment manufacturer BATM Advanced Communications said that revenues in July and August had fallen to USD18.6 million, compared with USD19.1 million for the same period last year, and predicted sales at the telecom division would remain flat for the next 18 months, FT writes.
D TELEKOM ANGER OVER GERMAN MAGYAR PROBE
Deutsche Telekom CEO René Obermann issued a statement saying that accusations he knew about alleged bribery or kickbacks five years ago at Magyar Telekom would “shortly be shown” to be without foundation. Obermann stressed that DT has been cooperating with authorities since calling attention to incidents of possible wrongdoing in 2005.
