ANDROID OUTSELLS IPHONE
Dagens Industri writes that sales of Android-based devices will surpass iPhone sales in Sweden, according to Daniel Lindholm, CEO of The Phonehouse, which has over 100 stores across the country. Lindholm estimates that Android now holds a roughly 60-percent share of the market, while Apple has 30 percent. Lindholm emphasizes that Android’s market dominance relies on its prevalence in many different products, while Apple has essentially only one product. Touch-screen phones on the whole have been the highlight of this summer, Lindholm says. Two Android phones, Sony Ericssson’s X10 Mini and Mini Pro, have topped all summer sales lists.
