MOBILE USAGE REACHES 5 BILLION MILESTONE
Telecom analysts have predicted that the five-billionth mobile device will be connected by Monday, 5 July. In India and China combined, 50 million new subscribers entered the market in April and May, writes FT.
RUSSIA’S MTS IN TALKS TO BOOST WEB CONTENT
Russia’s number-one operator, MTS, is in talks with both Fox and Sony to add more media content for its online entertainment, writes FT. Russian mobile operators are also looking to expand 3G access in order to boost smartphone entertainment services, such as movies, TV series and music videos.
