MOTOROLA RAISES ITS BET ON VERIZON AND GOOGLE
Motorola has entered into an agreement with Verizon, in which the operator will market its coming Android-based  smartphones. The new handsets are seen as a test of co-CEO Sanjay Jha, who is looking to prove his ability to return the handset division to profitability.
 
RESEARCH SENDS FUZZY MESSAGE ON MOBILE PHONES AND CANCER
A major international research project on the link between mobile-phone use and cancer was just completed last week, and the results surprised even the researchers, writes WSJ: handset use apparently prevents two types of brain tumors. The puzzling results of the research study were published online last week by the International
 Journal of Epidemiology.
