Mukesh Ambani of Reliance Industries has agreed to pay USD1 billion for a 95-percent stake in Infotel, the only company that was able to win access to a pan-Indian 4G license in the recent auction. Anil Ambani, Mukesh’s brother who owns Reliance Communications, said his company welcomes the competition.
