THE FUTURE WILL BE MOBILE
Ericsson's new CEO envisions large expansions in wireless broadband. In 10 years, the data traffic in mobile broadband networks will explode - from todays 400 million connected devices to 50 billion. Not only humans will be connected. M2M connections like in the car industry, health-care and education are increasing. In almost all countries in the world, 3G or 4G is being rolled-out and almost 1.5 million GSM base stations need to be replaced.  In markets like China and India, this growth is really taking off. "Technology leadership is one of our key assets and Ericsson invests 30 billion (SEK) in Research. Many of our products have been developed here in Gothenburg, says Hans Vestberg"
