ERICSSON BATTLES FOR CONTRACTS
DI writes that the LTE market, estimated to be worth SEK11 billion in 2011, is expected to be worth SEK56 billion in 2014, according to analysis firm Gartner. The article describes how vendors are battling to win 4G deals. Ericsson is facing competition from Chinese equipment suppliers as well as Nokia Siemens Networks.
 
INDIAN BAN ON CHINESE VENDORS
DI speculates that Ericsson could unexpectedly benefit from Indian government’s decision to ban telecom equipment from Chinese vendors, including Huawei, due to suspicion of espionage. According to DI, the Indian government suspects products imported from China to contain bugging devices.
