SWEDES REJECT MOBILE PAYMENTS
According to a study by KPMG, Swedes are relatively unwilling to use their handheld devices to make payments. Anders Pettersson, head of mobile banking at Swedbank, believes the main reasons are security concerns and that Swedes are already satisfied with their other online-banking options, writes SvD.

CLOUDS AHEAD IN PROFITABLE TECHNOLOGY SKY

Profits have grown dramatically for many technology companies recently, and Microsoft surprised investors with its better-than-expected Q3 report, recording a 50-percent increase in net income, as compared to last year’s Q3. Meanwhile, as IT companies begin competing in each others’ markets and cloud-based services are on the horizon, there is some concern that demand could taper off. While Ericsson has struggled with intensifying price-based competition, Nokia is having trouble getting its sales of smartphones going.

DORO TO START SELLING HANDSETS IN CANADA

SvD reports that Doro has initiated collaboration with Rogers Communications to begin selling its mobile devices for senior citizens.
