Alcatel-Lucent reported a net profit of EUR25 million for Q3, up from a EUR182 million loss a year earlier. The telecom-equipment supplier repeated its annual goals including an operating margin of between 1-5 percent, writes WSJ. But FT calls the quarterly earnings disappointing, while it also reports that Alcatel-Lucent announced several major new contracts with US and Chinese mobile operators.
