BHARTI UPBEAT ON PROFITING OUT OF AFRICA
In an interview with FT, telecom entrepreneur Sunil Bharti Mittal expressed high hopes for the growth potential of Africa: “The next wave is Africa. Minerals and metals, resources – everybody is investing, China’s rushing in there, now Europe is rushing there. You are going to see a lot of action in Africa. It is to my mind the continent of hope.”
 
BT HOPING TO AVERT STRIKE
Following the Communication Workers Union cancellation Monday of a ballot of about 50,000 BT employees, both parties are looking to resolve a pay dispute without what would be the first national strike at BT in 23 years, FT writes.
