Tele2’s Q2 net profit increased by 46 percent, to SEK1.6 billion, boosted by strong growth in Russia and demand for mobile data in Sweden, as the operator fends off decline in fixed-line subscribers. “We are very pleased with the development in Russia, especially in our new regions,” Tele2’s CFO Lars Nilsson said.
