NUANCE TO INCREASE BANKING SECURITY WITH VOICE RECOGNITION
Nuance, known for its T9 technology, also makes voice applications for corporate call centers. “Here we have a world-leading technology – with both the aid of push button functions and customers’ voice commands, we can automate call center services. It’s easy to think that the Internet has taken over, but our experience is that the volume of voice traffic is increasing,” says Nuance’s head of marketing in the Nordic and Baltic regions, Lars Sjöberg. Now the company aims to bring its voice-recognition technology to the banking sector in Sweden. By complimenting the use of PIN codes with voice recognition, Nuance intends to increase security in banking services. “We are in discussions with all of the major Swedish banks and hope to see results this year,” Sjöberg said. (Dagens Industri)
