Paul Tufano, the company's financial head, was quoted as saying, "Regarding net income, we expect to return to profits during 2010, most likely in the second-half of the year".In February Chief Executive Ben Verwaayen told Le Figaro newspaper that the group expected to achieve a net profit during 2010.
The group has already given a 2009 earnings outlook for break-even in group adjusted operating profit and a forecast for an 8 to 12% decline in the value of the overall market.
