Nokia Siemens wins VERTU managed services deal

VERTU, the UK-based maker of the world’s leading luxury mobile handsets, is set to launch an exclusive Club in Japan that will allow discerning subscribers access to a host of exclusive mobile services including ‘Club VERTU’ which includes a special members-only concierge. VERTU has contracted Nokia Siemens Networks with this landmark Managed Services deal for the rollout of the hosted MVNO solution.

Tagore Ramoutar, Director of Business Development for Japan & Korea, says at VERTU “Meeting the needs of customers in this segment requires a specialised approach. VERTU users the world over are discerning individuals who are willing to pay a premium for the right experience. Our success relies on delivering a world class experience that is unmatched”. “Our greatest priority therefore is providing our customers with new and innovative services, and we will focus our energies on this”, he added.

VERTU’s service rollout will be supported by Nokia Siemens Networks’ Hosted Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) solution which enables VERTU to introduce value-added services without investing in their own software, equipment, people and skills. Besides the reduced set-up investment, key benefits are a manageable business risk, flexible services and tariffs to address market. In addition, VERTU can focus on marketing and sales rather than telecom operations. Its customers will benefit from a fast service rollout at high Quality of Service.

The hosted MVNO solution is a strong demonstration of Nokia Siemens Networks’ solution selling capability since it combines own and 3rd party applications with systems integration, managed and maintenance services all offered in a fully hosted contract. Nokia Siemens Networks hosts the MVNO service for VERTU in Japan from its Singapore hosting centre, which is capable of servicing customers throughout the Asia Pacific region.

Patrik Sallner, Global Head of Hosting Services, Nokia Siemens Networks said “Nokia Siemens Networks serves as a one-stop shop, providing customers with access to world-class end to end solutions that enable high performance, are scalable and feature-rich,”. “In a competitive market, where sustainable differentiation goes beyond price, customers can rely on us to ensure that they are ready to offer a world-class subscriber service from day one, so they can focus on launching their business, marketing their services, and future innovation instead”, he added.
